Such seasonal freshness does require us some freedom to sometimes substitute produce
listed here, so that we can be sure that everything you receive is in the best condition.
Please do also remember to let us know if you have a particular dislike for any fruit or
vegetable variety and we will then do our very best to ensure that an alternative is packed
for you.

Welcome to Goodbehere Organics. The name Goodbehere is a family name, chosen because we are a
family farm wanting to bring Goodness from our Farm to your door.
I remember, as a child, Bill the farmer from Claverley, delivering wonderful fresh produce
from his kitchen garden to our door. I remember being so excited, waiting and wondering what
he had for us that week. I can still smell the freshness of those vegetables.
Now here I am, a busy mum of four, wanting my children to enjoy the same healthy, locally
sourced food I did. So now it"s my turn. Married to a farmer, I am now firmly committed to
bringing the best quality fresh organic fruit and vegetables to your kitchen.
You might wonder how to best cook this produce, to retain its nutritional value and make
it taste delicious. So I am going to share my cooking secrets with you. Each week, I will
enclose my tips and that way you can build up your own cooking guide, so that you and your
family can have the same fun as we do in preparing our food. Then your children will pass
on those same secrets to their children.
I do hope you enjoy our produce and look forward to hearing how you get on.

Our beliefs
At Goodbehere Organics we run our business to the same beliefs and standards
that we have in our own family - we make no exceptions - we will:
Supply superbly fresh organic produce
Source our produce as locally as possible
Offer a friendly and efficient service
Take real care of the environment
Give a fair deal to our farmers
Involve ourselves in our local community
Support our local economy
Supply superbly fresh organic produce
Our produce is seasonal so it is local and fresh. We aim deliver as many products as close to the
day they have been harvested as possible - we want to be thought of as your kitchen garden without
the digging. We are committed to freshness, which includes our really fresh free range eggs brought
to you from here at Sutton Farm.
Our other products include freshly baked cakes using our free range eggs and conventional ingredients.
The Owlet apple juice is from Kent, produced by our friends, is is a Bramley Cox mix - simply delicious!
The Olive Oils and Balsamic vinegar are delicious and wonderful with salads. The Nesscliffe Rapeseed Oil
is locally produced here in Shropshire and is wonderful for cooking or with salads.
Dukeshill Ham, Sausage and Bacon is locally produced and of the very highest standard.
Do try our free range eggs with some sausage and bacon or the ham with our summer salad!
Source our produce as locally as possible
We source as much of our produce as we possibly can from family farmers from our area of
Shropshire, Staffordshire and Worcestershire. We aim to get over 80% of our vegetables from
our local area. Food miles are mammothly reduced by this sourcing policy and we can genuinely
support and encourage tasty local organic production. Where we buy in from overseas it will
be transported by truck or ship - we will not buy any produce that has been air freighted
anywhere. You can see at This Weeks Boxes where each product
is being sourced from this week and we detail in our vegetable & fruit knowledge base where
traditional fruit & vegetables are transported from and how.
Offer a friendly and efficient service
We run our business with sincerity and a smile - if there is any doubt we would like to hear from you.
Take real care of the environment
We want to leave our own farm and our wider environment in a better state than when we started. Here
are our prime contributions towards minimizing our impact on the planet - every bit helps:
- Food miles are heavily reduced by our real local sourcing policy. Our free home delivery service also helps to reduce car trips to supermarkets (and bad backs from carrying heavy vegetable bags!!)
- Where possible we hand harvest exactly the required quantity of crops direct from the fields ourselves, hugely reducing waste.
- When we have to bring organic produce in from abroad (eg. bananas!!) we insist that it is only imported by ship. Sea freight is surprisingly efficient in carbon emissions terms as it generates approximately thirty times less carbon dioxide than airfreight.
- Our selected organic boxes enable us to really minimize the use of inner packaging and trays - we use just recycled tissue papers, waste pulp trays and paper bags. We do not use plastic films, plastic trays and inert gas filling so the environment benefits accordingly.
- Our deliveries to you are made in strong returnable multi use cardboard boxes. The boxes are made from 100% recycled paper (with a bit of china clay coating to give you our white box!!) Our plastic box covers (used if your delivered box is going to get wet!) are made from biodegradable plastic. Please help us to get real multi use out of our boxes by folding them up (they are totally collapsible!). Please return the collapsed box at your next delivery.
- All our old delivery boxes (and wood & cardboard waste) are shredded on farm and used as bedding for our free range & organic hens - perfect natural recycling.
Give a fair deal to our farmers
Goodbehere Organics is registered with the Soil Association as an organic retailer (Certification
UK5 DH17980). We source UK produce from some 20 local producers who are registered with UK organic
certification bodies - Soil Association
and Organic, Farmers & Growers. We
deliberately seek out small producers who take great pride in their work. We are farmers in our
own right so we fully implement our policy of paying a fair price to our producers for doing that
extra special job for us. We insist on our overseas produce being sourced to FairTrade principles
and we vigorously ensure that the correct IFOAM
certification is in place.
Involve ourselves in our local community
We work with a number of local schools to both promote & understand organic production. Through
our on farm schools visits we hope to further educate school children, giving them a hands on
feel for organic food. We actively support our local rural communities through buying organic
produce direct from British farmers.
Support our local economy
All our staff live locally with most of us living in Claverley, this way cutting down on our own
miles and keeping the community buoyant.

Because...
Delivers a real difference in taste
Supports a organic economy
Promotes bio-diversity & sustainability
Improves the quality of your life
Keeps chemicals out of your food
Keeps the earths water clean
Prevents soil & habitat erosion in the countryside
Delivers a real difference in taste
The whole process of organic farming starts and ends with the build up of fertility and nourishment of the soil.
Live organic soils give a better tasting food on your plate. On average, organic food contains higher levels of
vitamin C and essential minerals such as calcium, magnesium, iron and chromium as well as cancer-fighting
antioxidants. Taste the difference
Supports an organic economy
At first sight organic fruit & vegetables seem more expensive but if all the indirect costs of conventional
foods - cleaning up polluted waters, environmental protection, GM & health costs are all added in, then organic
foods would be considerably cheaper than conventional ones. With the build up of soil fertility with manures
and true break crop rotations, organic farming can also produce crop yields just as high as conventional
crops -,the use of pesticides does not guarantee higher crop yields!. Purchase organic produce to support a
countryside that is sustainable.
Promotes bio-diversity & sustainability
Large scale conventional agriculture very quickly destroys soils and whole rafts of insects, bugs, plants
and micro-organisms. The lack of natural diversity leaves the soils lacking in essential natural nutrients
and minerals. To replace these in conventional farming, each crop is fed quantities of chemical fertilizers.
Conventional crops are also more susceptible to pests & diseases - making mono crops more reliant on pesticide
sprays. Going back to organic production hugely benefits the numbers and types of insects, plants and
microorganisms on the land. Organic soils promote bio-diversity & sustainability. Genetically modified
(GM) crops and ingredients are not allowed under organic standards -help to maintain the huge diversity
& beauty of the British countryside.
Improves the quality of your life
You can improve the quality of your life for yourself and for your children. Compared to their parents a
generation ago, it is alarming to consider that todays child is exposed to 4 x as much exposure to at
least 10 widely used crop pesticides. The types of food your child eats today could impact on your child's
health in future years. Consider your future health.
Keeps chemicals out of your food
Most pesticides registered for use on crops in the UK by the Pesticides Safety Directorate were registered
before extensive new research linking some of these pesticides to cancer and other diseases was published.
The US Office of Pesticide Programs lists some 150 common crop pesticides as potential human carcinogens.
The UK government has recently found high levels of pesticide residues in baby food, spinach, dried fruit,
bread, apples, celery, and chips. The bottom line is it is unwise to consume food containing chemicals that
could be harmful to humans.
Keep the earths water clean
Many of the pesticides and fertilizers used by conventional farming over the last 50 years are now
contaminating our rivers and groundwater supplies where our drinking water comes from. The UK spends
over ?120m a year to pay for removing chemicals from drinking water, mainly as a result of the pesticides
used in farming. Reverse this trend to give us clean water.
Prevents soil & habitat erosion in the countryside
Conventional farming leads to poor soil structures and massive soil erosion where the precious topsoil is
literally washed off the field. Organic farming practices builds up soil fertility. A healthy organically
farmed soil is well structured and resists soil damage. Protect our countryside for today and invest for
future generations.

Farm Tours
Set in the rolling hills of South Shropshire at Claverley, four miles from Bridgnorth, we welcome
you to Sutton Farm. Here you can watch us sort and pack our freshly dug and cut vegetables and
fruits. You can also see our free range hen houses and learn all about the daily life of the
chickens and the production of the eggs we bring fresh to your home on the day of lay.
My own four children love nothing more than to collect their own newly laid egg for breakfast.
Over the years they have brought many friends home and their fascination with our feathered girls
and their freshly laid eggs has never ceased to amaze me. I remember so well my young daughter"s
birthday party - despite the traditional party games I had prepared, all her friends wanted to
do was collect eggs!
So do bring your children or interested groups to our next farm tour. Claverley Nursery enjoyed a
wonderful afternoon here, collecting eggs and watching the vegetables being packed. Highgate Primary
from Dudley visited this month and had a wonderful time looking at the hens, walking around the farm
and enjoyed their own hand picked free range egg for lunch! They were a wonderful group of well
behaved children who we thoroughly enjoyed having here. They are to returnin the future and will soon
be enjoying organic fruit at school from Goodbehere Organics.
